Shaun turns the heating on

The heating has been on exactly twice in our flat since we moved in in July:

• When some of our guests complained that they were cold
• When Shaun turned it on

We're students, so we don't have any money; furthermore, we're hard so we don't need heat. Shaun broke the cardinal rule of the flat, namely that the heating should only be on if guests are around or if all four flatmates are in to enjoy the heat.
