Ah. For these misunderstandings may I now offer apologies, and further apologies for not liking quite the tone of all this so much. Are you quite aware of the difficultis involved in liberating individuals-- particularly dangerous ones-- from asylums? It may not be, should things go that way, as you are thinking. But things will not go that way. We can find witnesses from the pub in Broughton who would have seen Mr. Tremaine smouldering the day before the Mass, should it come to that. Even so-- surely there are more mundane methods of breaking someone from a cell? I don't think I will survive another possession.

Indeed, I am not worried about Mr. Tremaine's ability to hold up under questioning as about mine.
