Alles--

Somehow I feel at the mercy of a living et cetera.

Well, how well did theysearch the train itself? My impression-- from what I've been told, anyway;as I can only be unsure as to my presence in this dimension, I have noidea-- that most of the search outside the train was concentrated. It is quite plausible that I might have been overlooked. I canbe a very sneaky sort of person indeed when I'm having fits.

But, Mr.Flitworth, all respects to your ingenuity due, I do not think that yourjolly interesting experiments with theiron filings story will fly. It just seems a little too madcap even forthis group. The vinegar might be explicable, if we could plausibly havegotten it into our heads a snipe-skeleton to reconstruct, and thus had allof the softer bits of snipe off fromthe bones to make, but the iron filings are going to be difficult unlesssomebody can come up with something truly brilliant, I fear; it may have toinvolve a circle of iron filings around the church. Which would have hadearlier to happen, around the time Stoatley was taking his tombstone rubbings, I am thinking. The possibilitythat this circle should be discovered is suddenly to me very disturbing. Iwonder-- How orthodox your Anglicanism is, I am not knowing, but I amsupposing that Saturday masses arerather odd. Perhaps this herein an ingredient could have been? Some bizarre'bringing religion to the people' scheme? No one really could countermandus. Or maybe am not was a meteor shower or something and somebody gotworried. I don't knowing. I shouldn't be asked; I'm the one whose brains have been scrambled...About this anymore I cannot be thinking. Oh, Lord, we are all going tohang!
